Current Intel[]

Due to its unique and grotesque shape, Ahriman is often mistaken for an art sculpture in the Ballet Twins.
As a result, many novice Investigators are left with lifelong trauma when they first encounter an Ahriman...
You just passed by a certain "sculpture" when it suddenly moves...
And that fearful moment frozen in place is the perfect moment for Ahriman to launch a surprise attack.
"Corin, don't be fooled by how it looks... It's no fancy art."
"Now, let's clean it up."

Trivia[]

Etymology[]

  • اهريمن Ahriman is the Middle Persian equivalent of Angra Mainyu (Avestan: 𐬀𐬢𐬭𐬀⸱𐬨𐬀𐬌𐬥𐬌𐬌𐬎 Aŋra Mainiiu, "destructive/evil spirit"), the main adversary in Zoroastrian religion and creator of divs, sorcerers and everything else that is evil.
    • In line with this, the Chinese name of this enemy is 恶灵 Èlíng, "Evil Spirit".
  • In Islamic discourse, Ahriman embodies the absolute evil (the Devil) in contrast to Iblis (Satan), who represents an original noble being still under God's power, and is mostly a stylistic device to refute the idea of absolute evil.
