Attack Type, previously called Fighting Style, also seldomly referred to as Hit Type, is a descriptor that tells the player how the Agent in question performs their attacks.

During the first beta period for Zenless Zone Zero, Version 0.13, Attack Type was the main metric of telling a player how an Agent would perform in battle, as Specialties did not exist at the time. During this version, an Agent's Attack Type would dictate how much Daze (then called "Stagger") they would deal to an enemy, with each attack type working better against a specific Enemy type:
In Version 0.3.0, Specialties would be released, replacing Attack Type as the main combat-performance metric, however Attack Types remained in the game, albeit with very sparse information as to what they entailed, or if they affected combat in any meaningful way.

Slash[]
These agents fight using bladed melee weapons that can hit from close to mid-range. Some units that make use of the Slash Attack Type can deflect enemy projectiles in combat during their Dash Combat Skill(s).
