
Attribute Anomaly is a combat mechanism in Zenless Zone Zero.
Overview[]
When an Agent deals Attribute damage, they inflict a certain amount of Anomaly Buildup. Once a certain level of buildup is reached, the enemy will be afflicted with an Attribute Anomaly debuff of the corresponding Attribute. The enemy's current Attribute Anomaly Buildup is displayed to the right of the health bar.
An agent's Anomaly Proficiency allows them to deal more damage with Attribute Anomaly effects, while an agent's Anomaly Mastery allows them to build up Attribute Anomaly effects more quickly. Additionally, exploiting enemies' weakness to certain Attributes to trigger Attribute Anomaly will intensify the Anomaly effect.
If the player applies another type of Attribute Anomaly to an enemy that has been already inflicted by another one, it will override the original, and causes the Disorder effect. Disorder effect is based on the original Anomaly's stats, dealing extra DMG and Daze.
Certain Additional Abilities can buff the duration of Anomalies and buff the Agents if an enemy has a certain Attribute Anomaly.
Physical Attribute Anomaly[]
Dealing Physical DMG to enemies accumulates Physical Attribute Anomaly, which subsequently triggers Assault and Flinch effects when enough is accumulated.
Assault interrupts the enemy and deals massive Physical DMG, and Flinch increases the Daze the target takes for a period of time.
Ice Attribute Anomaly[]
Dealing Ice DMG to enemies accumulates Ice Attribute Anomaly, which can trigger Freeze and Frostbite.
Freeze prevents the enemy's actions for a certain period of time, and will trigger Shatter when the target is hit with a heavy attack, dealing Ice DMG. Frostbite increases the CRIT DMG taken by the afflicted enemy for a certain period of time.
Frost Attribute Anomaly[]
Dealing Frost DMG to enemies accumulates Frost Attribute Anomaly, which will also trigger Freeze and Frostbite. However, Attribute Anomalies triggered by Frost DMG are counted separately from Attribute Anomalies triggered by Ice DMG, and can trigger Disorder when applied simultaneously.
Fire Attribute Anomaly[]
Dealing Fire DMG to enemies accumulates Fire Anomaly Buildup, which triggers the Burn effect.
Burn effect deals continuous Fire DMG for a period of time, and inflicting Burn on enemies weak to Fire can interrupt their actions.
Electric Attribute Anomaly[]
Dealing Electric DMG to enemies accumulates Electric Anomaly Buildup, which triggers the Shock effect.
The Shock effect causes the target to intermittently suffer additional Electric DMG when attacked for a period of time. Inflicting Shock on enemies weak to Electric DMG can interrupt their actions.
Ether Attribute Anomaly[]
Dealing Ether DMG to enemies accumulates Ether Anomaly Buildup, which triggers the Corruption effect.
Enemies with Corruption take extra Ether DMG, and inflicting Corruption on enemies that are weak to Ether can interrupt their actions.
