Gear Coin is a type of currency in Zenless Zone Zero, used in Hollow Zero modes and older Commissions that use Array Mode.
Acquisition[]
The most common way to acquire Gear Coins is reaching a Gear Coin Area on the H.D.D. "chessboard", the amount available varies between exploration stages of a Hollow, but a Gear Coin Area showing double coins instead of the usual one gives you more. Alternatively, a Golden Bangboo encountered in any part the Hollow will yield Gear Coins when attacked or killed (depending on stage setting).
The amount of Gear Coin of each Exploration is independent. Clearing, retiring, and retrying the Exploration resets the amount of Gear Coins.
Usage[]
The primary usage of Gear Coins is to buy Resonia from merchants. Some doors in Array Mode also require some amount of Gear Coins to be opened.
