  • 2 Piece, 4 Piece (2PC, 4PC) — Refers to the number of the same set of Drive Discs equipped by an Agent.
  • 50/50 — Refers to the 50% chance of getting a Limited S-Rank Agent.
  • 5star — Refers to an S-Rank Agent.

A[]

  • Additive — Refers to the stats adding together instead of multiplying.
  • Anomaly Teams — Refers to a team that focuses on a certain Attribute Anomaly. For example, Neko-Billy-Corin is a Physical Anomaly Team.
  • Attribute Teams — The term refers to a team that centers around a specific attribute. For example, a Rina-Grace-Anton team is a shock team.
  • ATK — Abbreviation of "Attack".

B[]

  • Banner — A select pool of Agents and W-Engines that can be acquired through Signal Search. Non-Standard Agents and W-Engines cannot be acquired unless their banner is currently active.
  • Beta — Betas are versions of the game that are tested prior to release. Players need to sign up to participate in Beta Tests. These are also commonly referred to at CBT's (Closed Beta Tests). Read more at Beta.
  • Build — Refers to the Drive Discs and a W-Engine an Agent has equipped.

  • C0, C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6 — Refers to how many Mindscape Cinemas an Agent has unlocked in Mindscape Cinema. It stands for "Cinema". An alternative is M, as in M1, for "Mindscape".
  • CBT — Closed Beta Test.

  • Demo — Shortened form of Character Demo.
  • Disc 1, Disc 2,... Disc 6 — Refers to what slot the Drive Disc can occupy.
  • DMG — Abbreviation for "Damage"
  • Drip Marketing — The first teaser for an upcoming Agent's release, usually announced through social media.

  • F2P — Abbreviation for "Free to Play."

  • M0, M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, M6 — Refers to how many Mindscape Cinemas an Agent has unlocked in Mindscape Cinema. It stands for "Mindscape." An alternative is C, as in C1, for "Cinema."
  • Mono(-attribute) — Refers to a team with only a single Attribute shared between the team.
  • Main — The character that the player primarily plays with. As a verb, it refers to the player actively choosing which character to use.
  • Main DPS — The character that deals the most DMG in the team.
  • Multiplicative Refers to the stats multiplying together instead of adding.

  • Neko — Commonly used as an abbreviation for Nekomata, a type of cat yōkai. Also the nickname of Nekomiya Mana.
  • NPCsNon-Player Characters (NPCs) are characters which that cannot be controlled by the player. Read more at NPCs.

  • PEN — Abbreviation for Penetration.
  • Pity — The amount of Signals needed to guarantee and A-Rank or an S-Rank.
  • Polychromes/PolyPolychromes is a type of currency unit in Zenless Zone Zero. Read more at Polychromes.
  • Powercreep — The trend of newly-released Agents being stronger than older ones.
  • Proc/Proccing — Refers to the activation of a certain Anomaly during combat, or activation of conditional effects of a Character, W-Engine, or Drive Disc.
  • Pulls — Refers to the amount of Signal Searches a person has. It is also known as "Rolls".
  • Pulling — The act of using Signal Searches on a banner.

  • Rerun — When a limited Agent's banner returns after their initial release.
  • RotationRotation refers to an Agent's ability usage order in a certain team.

S[]

  • S0 — Abbreviation of Soldier 0 - Anby.
  • S11 — Abbreviation of Soldier 11.
  • SD — Abbreviation of Shiyu Defense.
  • Shred — The ability of an Agent to decrease a certain Attribute Resistance or their Defense.
  • Shiyu 1, 2, 3,... 7 — Refers to a specific Node (i.e. stage) of Shiyu Defense. It is further abbreviated as S, as in, S9 for Shiyu Defense Stage 9.
  • Signature/Sig — The term refers to an Agent's best W-Engine choice.
  • SKK — Abbreviation for Soukaku.
  • Slot 1, Slot 2, Slot 3... — Refers to the Drive Disc slots for the Agents.
  • SSR — Refers to an S-Rank Agent.
  • Stack — The adding of multiple instances of one effect at the same time.
  • Stun — Refers to delaying an enemy's move through an Agent's skill.
  • Sub DPS — A generic term that tends to refer to characters in the team that deal a significant amount of damage but aren't the main DPS.
