Your Ultimate Movie Buddy[]

Special Event
"Your Ultimate Movie Buddy"

Story Description: Your sister is already waiting at the cinema, and the two of you have a discussion about whether to watch "This Is How I Am" or "Invasion: Next Gen" before finally making your decision.

Belle: Hey, bro~
Icon Dialogue Talk Hey, Belle.
Icon Dialogue Talk Oh, you beat me here this time.
Wise: Hey, Belle. Guess you beat me here this time.
Belle: Hehe... "Lost original film reels uncovered in an abandoned warehouse, now screening to promote the cinema" — how could I not be quick after hearing about that?
Icon Dialogue Talk That's the Belle I know.
Icon Dialogue Talk Let's check it out today!
Wise: That's the Belle I know. Let's check it out today!
Belle: Let's see "Invasion: Next Gen"!
Icon Dialogue Talk Hm?
Icon Dialogue Talk Weren't we gonna see "This Is How I Am"?
Wise: Oh? I thought we were going to watch "This Is How I Am."
Belle: "This Is How I Am"? Lemme check real quick... Right, they did find both movies in the same warehouse.
Belle: Whoa, the rough cut is five hours long? And most of the newly added scenes are just filler...
Belle: Well, I bet you didn't know that the cinema version of "Invasion: Next Gen" has a different ending!
Belle: The final battle in the original script exceeded the budget, plus an actor had an accident at the time, so they changed the location of the final battle at the last minute.
Belle: But the rough cut preserves all the original clues and most of the story in the final battle!
Icon Dialogue Talk When it comes to favorite movie genres...
Icon Dialogue Talk There you go again...
Wise: There you go again. You can't stop whenever you're talking about your favorite movies.
Belle: You're the same!
Icon Dialogue Talk Am I?
Icon Dialogue Talk "This Is How I Am" supposedly...
Wise: "This Is How I Am" supposedly has an entire plotline that was deleted. You'll have a completely new and different understanding of the director's narrative if you watch the rough cut.
Belle: Well, anyway... Since we have plenty of time, I guess I'll humor you and watch "This Is How I Am."
Icon Dialogue Talk But seeing how interested you seem...
Icon Dialogue Talk Let's watch "Invasion: Next Gen" today.
Wise: Huh? But if you're so excited about "Invasion: Next Gen"... then I'm fine with watching that today.
Belle: Cool. Guess we're watching both today!

Watch a movie with Belle[]

Icon Commission Step Description

Buy tickets from the ticketing staff and catch a movie with Belle.
(Invite Belle)
Belle: I'll leave the movie selection to you!
Belle: Let's watch Invasion: Next Gen~
Icon Dialogue Talk Alright, sounds good.
Belle: Let's watch Invasion: Next Gen together. You promised, big bro.

(During the movie)
(Although she's watched it countless times at home, Belle still can't get enough. This movie must really pack a punch.)
(The lights dim. These brief moments before the show always make your heart race, but you're pretty sure today's elevated heartbeat isn't from anticipation.)
(Belle seems to sense my uneasiness. I should chat with her a bit to ease her concerns.)
Icon Dialogue Talk Popcorn... I mean noodles... I mean, noodles on my popcorn!
(Movie Rank increase)
(Wait! What am I even saying...)
Belle: Wait, what did you just say?
Belle: Oh, I get it. You're so nervous you can barely string a sentence together.
Belle: Don't worry. When we hit the really scary parts, I'll hold you down so you don't launch the popcorn bucket.
(... Feels like she's looking down on me, but I can't find a way to argue back.)
Icon Dialogue Talk (Face your fears and talk to her about this movie)
(Movie Rank increase)
Wise: I guess it's good to watch action thrillers once in a while. Besides, thriller and horror are two different genres, after all.
Belle: You think so? Great! I'm glad to hear that.
Belle: Honestly, I was worried this movie might be a bit much for you...
Belle: After all, it's our top pick for customers who "want to scream their lungs out."
(Belle seems to have calmed down, but those words — "scream their lungs out" — refuse to leave your mind...)
(Aha, ahahahaha...)
Icon Dialogue Talk (Time's up.)
(What should I say... my mind's totally blank.)
Belle: You good, bro? You look a little pale.
Belle: *sigh* Maybe I should've had you watch this at home first.
(...Thanks Belle, but for a movie like this, once is enough.)

(A unique Hollow has emerged. The Ethereals from within it seem to be able to survive outside the Hollow. Some people advocate for the immediate elimination of this potential threat, while others push for a thorough investigation.)
(A professor obsessed with studying Ethereals up close, a businessman who forged safety reports to cut corners, and a lazy PubSec officer who shut off the alarm to just slack off... Naturally, disaster followed. The Ethereals go on a rampage and escape the Hollow.)
(The characters' selfishness and arrogance make you squirm in your seat. But once the plot kicks in, even the jump-scare moments don't feel that scary anymore.)
Belle: Wise? Uh, are you okay?
Icon Dialogue Talk (Give her a scare)
(Movie Rank increase)
Wise: No... I... I don't feel so good...
Belle: Is it really that bad? Need me to step out with you?
Belle: Sorry, I was really into the movie and totally forgot to warn you about that Ethereal-cutting-someone-in-half scene...
Icon Dialogue Talk Just kidding.
Belle: Huh?!
Belle: Wise! You scared the heck out of me!
Belle: I was just thinking, if I'd known this movie would mess with you that much, we should've just watched some art house film instead.
Belle: But since you're still cracking jokes, I guess you're doing okay. That's a relief.
Belle: Anyway, I'll remember this! You'd better hand over this month's allowance as compensation.
Icon Dialogue Talk What?! That's robbery!
Belle: Well, your actions have consequences, you know... Just like those humans in the movie.
Icon Dialogue Talk (Reassure her)
(Movie Rank increase)
Wise: I'm just feeling anxious about the humans in the movie.
Belle: Yeah, the first half was so frustrating! They had so many chances to turn things around, but they just kept making the worst choices.
Belle: Especially for someone like you who worries all the time, watching that was probably stressful.
Icon Dialogue Talk But it doesn't feel as scary anymore.
Belle: Really? I didn't expect to hear that from you! Sounds like you're almost ready to try some of the horror movies we've got!
Icon Dialogue Talk Sorry, I must decline!!!
Belle: Aww, why? We finally found a way to boost your scare tolerance...
Belle: Maybe next time you won't have to secretly hide all the horror movies before our friends come over.
Icon Dialogue Talk (Time's up.)
Belle glances over again, and after making sure I was completely absorbed in the movie, she finally turns her head away.
Belle: Yeah... watching something like this on the big screen might've been a bit too much for you after all.

Mature Public Security Officer: We can't hold this neighborhood anymore. Take the survivors to safety — I'm heading to support the front line.
Young Public Security Officer: Ethereals are pouring out from the Hollow! You don't have enough ammo, Captain!
Mature Public Security Officer: Then we make do with what we've got! We must secure the inner perimeter! Get everyone to safety and come back with supplies, move it!
(The city has fallen into chaos, but humanity's counterattack has begun. One by one, people step up to help the protagonist's team deliver a special virus — one that could wipe out the Ethereals — deep into the Hollow.)
(A brave Public Security Officer, the leader of the rescue squad, orders his subordinates to evacuate with the survivors while he chooses to go down fighting. In his final moments, he removes his mask... You recognize him as the one who turned off the alarm system earlier in the movie.)
(The audience lets out a collective gasp. Belle's eyes widen in shock.)
Icon Dialogue Talk Even after watching the movie so many times, you're still so into it...
Belle: No, in the original release, they never revealed that the rescue team captain was one of the people who caused the whole disaster!
Belle: Now that I think about it, the actor playing the rescue team captain was only credited in this single movie. He's definitely using a stage name.
Belle: Forget about all the additional big battle scenes, THIS twist is the real difference between the rough cut and the theatrical release!
Icon Dialogue Talk Was that different from the version you've seen before?
(Movie Rank increase)
Belle: Wow, that's my bro! You have seen a lot of movies, after all.
Belle: You're exactly right, the theatrical release never revealed that the rescue team captain was one of the people who caused the whole disaster.
Belle: Now that I think about it, the actor playing the rescue team captain was only credited in this single movie. He's definitely using a stage name.
Belle: I can't believe this movie contained such a huge reveal!
Belle: I'm so glad we watched this version! Thanks for picking this movie today, Wise!
Icon Dialogue Talk (Time's up.)
Belle: Hey, I know you're totally absorbed in the movie, but there's a detail from earlier that I just have to mention.
Belle: In the original theatrical release, they never revealed that the rescue team captain was one of the people who caused the whole disaster.
Belle: In other words, for all these years, everyone thought he was just a brave Public Security Officer.

You finish watching "Invasion: Next Gen" with Belle...
After the movie finishes, some of the other spectators stay behind and eagerly discuss the differences between the two versions, filling the cinema with lively chatter.
(If no correct choices were made)
Belle: Those changes must hit pretty hard for longtime fans of the film.
Belle: But that's the beauty of movies, right? A story can flip on a dime with just one scene.
Belle: Too bad you didn't seem to enjoy it very much.
(If rank Fellow Film Fans or higher was reached)
Belle: I know you never watched the original theatrical version... But now that you know the difference, which version of the rescue captain do you like better?
Icon Dialogue Talk I loved today's version!
(Movie Rank increase)
Belle: Seems like the movie earned a thumbs up. I knew you'd appreciate the more complex characters.
Icon Dialogue Talk What about you?
Belle: That twist was kinda mind boggling at first, but I think this version is pretty solid.
Belle: The director probably cut the part about the rescue captain to make the movie more marketable.
Belle: After all, nobody wants to see a hero with a dark side.
Belle: But in the rough cut version, the way the director laid it out still felt kind of hopeful in a way.
Icon Dialogue Talk How so?
Belle: He had done something unforgivable in the audience's eyes, but within the world of the movie...
Belle: No one knew what he did, and he could've just walked away from it all.
Belle: And that's what the rest of the survivors did, they bailed.
Belle: But he chose the harder path of taking responsibility...
Belle: Maybe that's part of why we get to live peacefully in New Eridu today.
Icon Dialogue Talk (Belle, are you remembering the fall of the old capital...?)
Belle: What's with the worried look? You're staring at me like I just said something strange. Chill! I'm fine.
Belle: Alright, the movie's over. Let's get ready to go!
Icon Dialogue Talk I don't really have a strong opinion.
Belle: What?! No comments at all?
Belle: I guess this type of movie really isn't your jam...
Icon Dialogue Talk (Time's up.)
(Movie Rank increase)
Belle: Is it really that hard to pick?
Icon Dialogue Talk Well, yes. After all, both versions have their own merits.
Belle: That's true. The original theatrical cut is fast-paced and a solid blockbuster...
Belle: The audience can just sit back and enjoy the epic visuals of the final showdown.
Belle: The rough cut has way more details, and the whole twist about the captain really adds some weight to the film.
Belle: Not gonna lie, I had a hard time accepting that part about the rescue captain.
Belle: He doesn't get much screen time, but he's one of the most respected characters in the whole movie.
Belle: But that's the beauty of movies, right? A story can flip on a dime with just one scene.
Belle: Of course, the wildest part for me today is that I got to talk about a scary movie with you!
Icon Dialogue Talk Please, stop trying to push horror movies on me!
Belle: Come on, Wise! You're still young! Live a little dangerously!

(If rank Popcorn Partners or higher was reached)
Belle: I never thought we'd talk this much about a scary movie!
Belle: But for your sanity, maybe we should skip movies like this for a while... Haha.
(If rank Fellow Film Fans was reached)
Belle: Can't believe there were actual plot changes between the two versions — that alone made this totally worth it!
(If the wrong movie was chosen)
You finish watching the movie with Belle. She keeps grumbling about how this wasn't the "Invasion: Next Gen" she was promised.

Talk to Belle[]

Icon Commission Step Description

Talk to Belle at the entrance.
Belle: Haa... Back to the real world!
Belle: That dreamy feeling you get after watching a film in the theater... You just can't get that from watching videotapes at home, y'know?
Icon Dialogue Talk Agreed.
Icon Dialogue Talk It's a unique feeling, alright.
Belle: Now that the movie's all wrapped, what's next on your agenda, bro?
Icon Dialogue Talk I haven't gotten my fill yet, actually.
Icon Dialogue Talk I'd love to go for another round.
Belle: You've got crazy stamina when it comes to watching movies, Wise, but watch out for that back pain from sitting too long!
Icon Dialogue Talk Don't worry, I'll watch myself.
Icon Dialogue Talk What do you plan on doing next?
Belle: I've been sitting in the cinema for way too long. I'm gonna take a quick stroll around Lumina Square and kill some time before heading home.
Belle: Anyway, I'll be heading out now! See you back at home!
After saying goodbye to your sister, you notice that there is still some time before the next movie starts. You suddenly find yourself wondering where she might have gone to kill some time...

Go to the newsstand[]

Icon Commission Step Description

Belle went to the newsstand. Follow her and see what she's up to.
(Reach the marked location)
(Huh, Belle went to the newsstand. Is she buying magazines?)
Belle: Oh yeah, jackpot!
Belle: Hehe, time to treat myself with a cup of coffee with the money I just won~
(So she bought a scratch card and actually won... I swear, my little sister's always had better luck than me, ever since we were kids.)
Belle heads toward the coffee shop.

Head near the cafe[]

Icon Commission Step Description

Belle went to the vicinity of the coffee shop. Follow her and see what she's up to.
(Reach the marked location)
(Belle went to the coffee shop. Maybe she's thirsty. I wouldn't be surprised, after watching movies together for hours, we emptied our drinks out a long time ago.)
Belle: This taste... Ugh, I shouldn't have chosen a new flavor without checking the ingredients!
Belle: Good thing my bro isn't here, or he'd totally lecture me about being reckless again... Hehe, but next time we get into a fight, I could totally trick him into trying this!
(... Sounds like I overheard some serious scheming! Better not mess with Belle anytime soon.)
Belle heads towards the HIA Club...

Head to the area around the HIA Club[]

Icon Commission Step Description

Belle headed over to the area around the HIA club. Follow her and see what she's up to.
(Approach Belle)
(Belle's standing at the entrance of the HIA Club... Is she going to play VR games? Wait, why does this route feel strangely familiar...)
Icon Dialogue Talk Belle...
Icon Dialogue Talk Don't tell me you're...
Belle: Whoa, Wise! You nearly scared the pants off me, jumping out like that!
Icon Dialogue Talk Sorry, sorry...
Icon Dialogue Talk But this route you've taken around town...
Belle: Uh oh, I've been had!
Belle: You guessed it! It's your route of daily to-dos! After watching the movie you recommended, I kinda wanted to experience how you experience your daily life.
Icon Dialogue Talk I see...
Belle: But Fairy just messaged me saying she needs help with something at home. Hmph, she's only nice to me when she needs something! Guess I'll skip VR gaming and head home today...
Icon Dialogue Talk Thanks for your hard work, Belle!
Icon Dialogue Talk Let's play together next time, then!
Belle: Sweet! Fairy says you're pretty good, so let's have a match then!
After dropping Belle off at the metro station, you spot a familiar figure while heading back to the cinema...

"Your Ultimate Movie Buddy"

Story Description: Your brother is already waiting at the cinema, and the two of you have a discussion about whether to watch "This Is How I Am" or "Invasion: Next Gen" before finally making your decision.

Wise: Hey, Belle!
Icon Dialogue Talk Hey bro~
Icon Dialogue Talk Called it... I knew you'd get here early.
Belle: Hey bro~ Called it! I knew you'd get here early.
Wise: Of course. "Lost original film reels uncovered in an abandoned warehouse, now screening to promote the cinema" — this kind of news is obviously targeted at cinephiles like us.
Icon Dialogue Talk That's right!
Icon Dialogue Talk Let's check it out today!
Belle: Exactly! Let's check it out today~
Wise: Let's see "This Is How I Am."
Icon Dialogue Talk Huh?
Icon Dialogue Talk Isn't it "Invasion: Next Gen"?
Belle: Huh? I thought we were gonna watch "Invasion: Next Gen."
Wise: "Invasion: Next Gen?" Let me see... Ah, they did find these two films at the same warehouse.
Wise: But that one's just another big-budget action flick. Why do you wanna watch the rough cut of a movie like that?
Wise: "This Is How I Am" supposedly has an entire plotline that was eventually deleted.
Wise: The director thought it was a little too personal, plus there was pressure from the producer. So in the end, they scrapped the whole side story.
Wise: But if you watch it in the original context with the special audiovisual design, it gives you a completely different perspective on the director's narrative.
Icon Dialogue Talk When it comes to favorite movie genres...
Icon Dialogue Talk There you go again.
Belle: There you go again. You really can't stop once you start talking about movies~
Wise: Aren't you the same?
Icon Dialogue Talk No way!
Icon Dialogue Talk That movie had a different ending, you know.
Belle: Yeah right! Also, I bet you didn't know that the cinema version of "Invasion: Next Gen" changed its original ending!
Wise: Ah, what were we talking about again...? Well, since we have plenty of time, I guess I'll go watch "Invasion: Next Gen" with you.
Icon Dialogue Talk But after all that bragging just now...
Icon Dialogue Talk I'm also interested in this rough cut.
Belle: Hm? After your whole speech about how great "This Is How I Am" is, I'm actually kind of interested in watching that now...
Wise: Cool. Then let's watch it together.

Watch a movie with Wise[]

Icon Commission Step Description

Buy tickets from the ticketing staff and catch a movie with Wise.
(Invite Wise)
Wise: It's decided then. We're watching "This Is How I Am".
Wise: Belle, I'll let you perform the selection ritual.
Icon Dialogue Talk Alright, I'm on it!
Wise: The director's cut of This Is How I Am... I won't miss a single detail!

(During the movie)
(Wise's eyes sparkle with anticipation...)
Wise: Oops, I think I forgot to grab popcorn...[Note 1]
Wise: Not surprised there's barely anyone here for this niche re-release...
Wise: Thanks for coming to the movies with me, Belle. I know I'm an "artsy, slow, retro-documentary-loving" guy and this might not be fun for you.
Wise: I saw a post online saying those types of guys are the worst...
Icon Dialogue Talk Say that again and I'll punch your lights out
(Movie Rank increase)
Wise: Not trying to be nosy, but I might've accidentally seen the message you were sending your friend when we sat down...
Wise: It said something like "my incredibly clueless humanoid robot brother"... Ouch, it sounds like I'm a walking embarrassment to you.
Icon Dialogue Talk I have NEVER looked down on my big brother!
Wise: Alright, alright... maybe I'm overthinking it.
Icon Dialogue Talk To each their own
(Movie Rank increase)
Belle: Then I'm the "boring girl who loves thrilling popcorn flicks"!
Wise: You are so not! For one, every type of movie has its own appeal and value!
Wise: And, whether it's movies or anything else, my sister is the coolest and most un-boring girl in all of New Eridu.
Icon Dialogue Talk (Time's up.)
(I'm going to ignore my dumb brother's dumb remark...)
Wise: That's a "I just heard something dumb" smile you're giving me, isn't it...
Wise: Alright, alright, I take it back. Let's just focus on the movie.

("Even if tomorrow isn't any better, it wouldn't be worse than today.")
(No matter how many times we hear that line in this movie, he always seems to get lost in thought...)
(So if I turn around to check his reaction now, I bet I'll catch that...)
Meeting my gaze was another pair of eyes,
those all-too-familiar green eyes,
in the dim light reflected by the screen,
had contained the same mist since childhood.
Wise: Even if tomorrow isn't any better, it wouldn't be worse than today, either...
Wise: But life doesn't always work that way, does it?
Icon Dialogue Talk Some things still stay good
(Movie Rank increase)
Wise: Yeah, you're right. Some things will never change. Just like us.
Wise: Even if things go downhill tomorrow...
Wise takes a deep breath,
and sinks back into the comfy chair.
Wise: At least "Phaethon" will always have each other to count on...
Icon Dialogue Talk I haven't thought about that yet...
Wise: Even so, we've made it this far together.
Wise: Sorry for getting a little sentimental. Watching these old movies with you always brings back memories...
Wise takes a deep breath,
and retreats into the shadows.
Wise: "Phaethon" will always be there for each other.
Icon Dialogue Talk (Time's up.)
Wise: Is there something on your mind, Belle?
Wise: Ah, my bad. Didn't mean to distract you.
Wise takes a deep breath,
and retreats into the shadows.
Wise: Although, to be fair... you're usually the one talking during movies.

"My" Monologue: Adults would always be anxious about the future...
"My" Monologue: But I thought, even if tomorrow isn't any better, it wouldn't be worse, either.
"My" Monologue: And now, I've grown up. While passing the outskirts of the streets and highrises,
"My" Monologue: I can almost still see the coastline — stretching east to west, vanishing into the dark.
"My" Monologue: The streets we once walked, the memories, the fireworks, the sunsets... our childhood. They're all buried in there now.
(The streets and city once so familiar to the protagonist, memories of youth and fireworks, all drowned in the Hollow...)
(Such stories once played out in every corner of the old capital, and now every moment in New Eridu...)
(Of course, it's also Phaethon's story.)
Wise: Remember when we promised to open a video store when we were kids?
Wise: We wanted to collect a ton of old videos and movies just like this one...
Wise: Hoping to piece together what the old civilization was really like.
Wise: Before we realized it, even our own memories became part of the past.
Icon Dialogue Talk Say something fun and witty
(Movie Rank increase)
Wise: "Every time Wise watches an old movie, he acts like the pretentious lead reciting overly dramatic lines"? Hahahaha...
Wise: So that's what you think every time we watch these, huh? Hahahaha...
Wise: Oops... was I laughing too loud? Hope I didn't bother anyone...
Wise stuck his neck out to scan for empty seats around him,
looking as alert and comical as an ostrich watching for predators on the savanna.
Wise: Good thing there aren't many people in the theater right now...
Icon Dialogue Talk Quote artsy movie dialogue together
(Movie Rank increase)
Wise: ...I may be a little slow at times, but you were totally copying how I talk just now, weren't you?
The implant in your eyes couldn't detect infrared,
but you still know,
your blood relative's face was turning tomato-red.
Wise: I... I was just thinking about when we were kids at Helios Academy, that's all!
Wise: Every sibling duo needs one who's all bubbly and one who gets all sentimental... that's how it works in movies too...
Wise: ...I'm never talking with you during movies again!
Icon Dialogue Talk (Time's up.)
Wise's sigh and the protagonist's street both vanished into the Hollow on the screen, leaving no echo behind.
Wise: But when you're around, it reminds me...
Wise: ...It's not good to keep dwelling on the past.

Finished watching This Is How I Am with Wise...
The flowing monologue and distinctive retro visuals were captivating. Even after the lights came up, it felt like the echoes of that sepia-toned era went on.
(If no correct choices were made)
Wise: I really enjoyed the movie you picked out for me.
Wise: Turns out the original had a lot of untold stories revealed in the director's cut.
Wise: It's just that I felt like you weren't really into it... Let's watch a horror movie you like next time, sound good?
(If rank Fellow Film Fans or higher was reached)
Icon Dialogue Talk Give Wise a moment to savor it
(Movie Rank increase)
The departing audience didn't take away the amber haze lingering in the theater...
Wise took another deep breath, seemingly still immersed in the protagonist's story.
Wise: It's kind of bittersweet — all those memories we made, maybe they've been taken away by the Hollow and time.
Wise: But you know what makes me luckier than the protagonist in this movie?
Wise: I know those hidden "old memories" will always be cherished not just by me, but also by someone else.
Icon Dialogue Talk Ask Wise's thoughts
(Movie Rank increase)
Wise: We finally got to hear the rest of the protagonist's story in the director's cut. It felt like a wish was fulfilled.
Wise: Although, I did get distracted a few times...
Wise: Especially during the protagonist's monologue. It reminded me of all the things we've been through together.
Wise: This Is How I Am... Belle, no matter what's in store for us, I'll always remember how we used to be.
Icon Dialogue Talk (Time's up.)
Wise: Are you still thinking about the story in the movie?
Wise: It's interesting how the director, who also played the protagonist, left so much out of the original cut of the movie.
Wise: It really takes living through something yourself to be able to tell the story authentically.
Wise: Come to think of it... everything I've lived through is a part of your story, too.
Wise: It's nice to know that there's another person out there who understands my experiences.
Wise: Let's experience more stories together, Belle.

(If rank Popcorn Partners or higher was reached)
Wise: Once all the chaos in our lives settles down... I'll be a lot older by then.[Note 2]
Wise: Maybe I'll make a nostalgic documentary myself. What do you think?
Wise: Hmm... the Helios Academy... being a Proxy... and Phaethon... Not the kind of stuff you're allowed to put on the big screen...
(If rank Fellow Film Fans was reached)
Wise: You picked a solid movie, but I feel like you weren't that invested...
Wise: Next time, you don't have to force yourself to watch something you don't like. Why don't we watch something you like instead?
(If the wrong movie was chosen)
You finished watching the movie with Wise, though he seemed spaced out today?

Talk to Wise[]

Icon Commission Step Description

Talk to Wise at the entrance.
Wise: *sigh*... Back to the real world.
Wise: That hazy feeling you get after watching a film in the theater is completely different from when we watch videotapes at home.
Icon Dialogue Talk I think so too!
Icon Dialogue Talk It's definitely a unique feeling.
Wise: Alright, now that we've finished the movie, Belle, got any plans?
Icon Dialogue Talk I haven't gotten my fill yet, actually.
Icon Dialogue Talk I could go for another.
Wise: You're usually pretty short on patience, but not when it comes to movies, huh? Go ahead, but don't come home too late, okay?
Icon Dialogue Talk Don't worry, bro!
Icon Dialogue Talk What's your plan now, by the way?
Wise: After sitting in the cinema for so long, I'm going to take a short walk around Lumina Square. Y'know, maybe kill some time before heading home.
Wise: I'll head out first, then. See you at home.
After saying goodbye to your brother, you notice that there is still some time before the next movie starts. You suddenly find yourself wondering where he might have gone to kill time...

Wise: Hmm, I won something. Not bad.
Wise: Let's head to the cafe next.
(So he bought a scratch card and actually won... Don't tell me his luck is even better than mine?)
After that, Wise heads toward the coffee shop.

Head near the cafe[]

Icon Commission Step Description

Wise went to the vicinity of the coffee shop. Follow him and see what he's up to.

(Wise's next stop, the coffee shop! Come to think of it, we watched movies for so long that we finished all the drinks we brought with us...)
Wise: This aroma... Tin Master seems to be in a good mood today. Belle might like this.
Wise: Alright, let's head to the HIA Club next.
Wise heads toward the HIA Club...

Icon Commission Step Description

Wise headed over to the area around the HIA club. Follow him and see what he's up to.
(Approach Wise)
(And now Wise is standing at the entrance of the HIA Club... Are we going to play VR games? Wait, why does this route feel weirdly familiar...?)
Icon Dialogue Talk Hey, bro~
Icon Dialogue Talk Don't tell me you're...
Wise: Oh hey, Belle. Why'd you follow me all the way here?
Icon Dialogue Talk That's my line!
Icon Dialogue Talk This wandering route of yours looks awfully familiar!
Wise: Aha, you got me.
Wise: This is actually your route. After watching the movie you recommended, I suddenly wanted to trace the steps you take each day... to experience your daily life a bit, I suppose.
Icon Dialogue Talk Oh, I see!
Wise: But Fairy just messaged me saying she needs help at home. It looks like this Second Assistant will have to skip on VR games today, and head back to see what she needs.
Icon Dialogue Talk Thanks for being so responsible!
Icon Dialogue Talk Let's play together next time, then!
Wise: Alright, sure.
After parting ways with your brother, you spot a familiar figure while heading back to the movie theater...

Icon Commission Step Description

Get Venus out of a jam!
(Approach Venus)
Strange Man: Are you watching the movie alone, miss? What a coincidence, I'm here alone too. How about we watch together? The selection of films today is rather splendid indeed...
Venus: Uh, no thanks...
Strange Man: Don't be so quick to refuse. Watching a movie is more fun with company. I'll even cover your ticket fee! Well? Am I getting irresistible now?
Venus: That's kind of you to offer, but no. I... I've already got plans.
Strange Man: Plans? No way! You've been standing here for quite a while, and I haven't seen anyone show up. How about I wait with you? If no one comes, then maybe we could...
Icon Dialogue Talk Here I am, Venus!
Venus: ...Ah, you're here! I've been waiting for ages!
Icon Dialogue Talk Sorry I'm late!
Venus: Ah... Oh, you're here! Sure kept me waiting, hmm?
Strange Man: Uh... So your friend's here. That's cool. Have fun. But hey, maybe we could exchange contacts...
Icon Dialogue Talk No thanks. Goodbye.
Venus: Alright, come on, the movie's about to start.
And so, the awkward stranger gives a sheepish smile and makes the wise choice of walking away.
Venus: Phew... Thanks for stepping in! I was trying so hard to stay calm, but no matter how I turned him down, it didn't work... Is Mercury in retrograde or something? Lately, I've been getting approached by strange strangers, left, right, and center...
Icon Dialogue Talk If it happens again, head to Public Security for help.
Icon Dialogue Talk Just give me a call if you need backup!
Venus: Yeah, next time for sure~
Icon Dialogue Talk Well, since we're already here...
Icon Dialogue Talk Wanna catch a movie?
Venus: Sorry, but I actually do have plans! I arranged to meet a commission broker here to exchange some intel.
Venus: I thought waiting around at the cinema wouldn't draw attention, but turns out I was wrong... There weren't nearly this many people here before...
Icon Dialogue Talk Hmm... Alright then.
Icon Dialogue Talk I see...
Venus: I'm telling you the truth, not just making excuses! I'd love to catch a movie with you right now, if only I didn't have other stuff to take care of...
Icon Dialogue Talk Hey, I get it.
Icon Dialogue Talk I'm not doubting you, Venus!
Venus: Really? Oh, no, no, no. Lots of friendships start to crack after conversations like this! Times like these call for a show of sincerity...
Venus: How about this? Are you free tomorrow? Let's watch a movie together... It'll be my treat! Not just the ticket, but the ice cream and popcorn too!
Venus: Consider this my thanks for having my back today~
Icon Dialogue Talk Sure, but I have one condition.
Venus: Hmm? What is it? Go ahead and tell me! *whispering* My bestest Proxy surely wouldn't make things difficult for me~
Icon Dialogue Talk It'll be my treat instead.
Venus: Huh? No way! If I let you help and pay for everything, wouldn't that make me a useless person who can't do anything but cling to newbies...? Nope, nope! I'm not gonna be that kind of useless fool...
Venus: It's settled then! Leave tomorrow's movie plans to me, I'll make sure you won't be disappointed~
And with that, Venus waves goodbye and leaves. You'll be watching a movie together tomorrow... You're looking forward to hearing your alarm in the morning.
