Etymology[]
- In Classical mythology, the Greek city of Calydon was famous for a monstrous wild boar sent by the goddess Artemis to ravage the region. An entire group of heroes and hunters was needed to slay it.
- Their motto is a clear reference to the famous Julius Caesar's quote Veni, vidi, vici (Latin: I came, I saw, I conquered).
