Description[]
Overview[]
Victoria Housekeeping Co. is a servant company with a small amount of members that specializes in various services[Note 1], notably household chores; like cleaning, cooking and yardwork, to security management and item acquisition [1]. Victoria Housekeeping Co.'s leader is the mayor of New Eridu and member of the Mayflower Family, Von Lycaon serves as its substantive leader and representative, whilst Alexandrina Sebastiane is its most senior member.
At the end of The Midnight Pursuit (B), it is revealed that Von Lycaon and Rina were aware of the conspiracy surrounding the Unknown Corruption Complex, and Phaethon's knowledge of it. They had been ordered by their master to spy on the siblings from afar and provide them with assistance as needed. In Bury Your Tears With the Past (A), Victoria Housekeeping aid the proxy siblings by giving them an upgrade of their HDD system, courtesy of Mayflower.

Trivia[]
- Each member of Victoria Housekeeping seems to be based on tropes found in the horror genre, most notably western and gothic horror.
- Corin's appearance is inspired by Frankenstein's Monster. Although her weapon is frequently called a chainsaw, being a likely nod to slasher movies, where these weapons are common, she actually wields a buzzsaw.
- Ellen is likely a reference to fishmen in horror movies (such as the Creature from the Black Lagoon), or films like Jaws where sharks are the main antagonist. Her usage of scissors as a weapon draws more from Japanese Horror, most notably the Kuchisake-Onna or the Scissor Man from the Clock Tower series.
- Lycaon takes his name and appearance from lycanthropes (werewolves). Though his formality and mannerisms are usually "proper", he possesses inhuman physical abilities and has been known to go "feral" during full moon.
- Rina is based on ghosts and paranormal horror, notably in her appearance and ability to float. Her electric powers are likely inspired by the interferences to electromagnetic fields ghosts can allegedly cause, while her Bangboo are likely inspired by cursed or possessed dolls in media.
Etymology[]
- The Victoria in Victoria Housekeeping is most likely in reference to the Victorian era. This hypothesis is corroborated by their style of housekeeping and choice of attire.
