Withered Domain
Withered Domain is a game mode accessed through the Hollow Zero menu. Prior to Version 1.4, it was simply referred to as Hollow Zero.
General[]
To unlock Withered Domain, players must have an Inter-Knot Rank of Novice Proxy, and then complete the commission Earlybird Ticket to Safety. Once unlocked, players can access Withered Domain from the Hollow Zero menu at Scott Outpost Interior.
Much in the same vein as HDD Commissions, exploration within Withered Domain consists of Eous, under the guidance of the protagonist, being controlled around the Monitor Array. Unlike standard commissions however, Withered Domains's Monitor Array exploration is procedurally-generated, with map configuration and events arranged differently with each playthrough.

Squad Configuration[]
Before entering Withered Domain, players need to designate one Agent to be the Leader, who starts exploration alone. At Edge difficulty, players can designate up to two other Agents as Backup, who can be recruited at select floors in Hollow Zero, using Random Call tiles. At higher difficulties, more Backup slots open up and thus more Agents can be set as Backup. When entering Stable Areas, the player can make a Random Call to one Backup Agent to come as reinforcements.
Pressure and Corruption[]
Every step taken within Withered Domain's stages will generate 10 Pressure, with the exception of special board tiles like Safety Zones. Once Pressure reaches 100, a random Corruption will appear and the current Pressure will be cleared. Corruption can have adverse effects on both combat and exploration.
