The following is a set of guidelines for uploading image files to the Zenless Zone Zero Wiki. These guidelines were last updated on January 30th, 2025.
Fair Use Statement[]
Credit is to give where it's due, and all images taken from the game or official media legally count as intellectual property of HoYoverse. It is believed that the wiki may use these files under fair use laws, and a fair use statement is to be added in the description of every uploaded file that is protected by Zenless Zone Zero's copyright. Users may provide this statement by using the {{Fairuse}} template when uploading media on the wiki.
Summary[]
All images should use the {{File}} template unless a more specific template exists for its category. Refer to the template's documentation for proper syntax.
File Types[]
PNG is preferred.
- Except for Agent Profile Cards, it is better to convert JPG images to PNG to keep file extensions consistent. Take note that JPG is a lossy format, where as PNG is lossless. It is better to seek out a file that does not have lost detail than to use a file with detail lost.
Naming Conventions[]
Most images should be prefixed with a keyword (and space) that describes what type of image it is. Below is the current list of prefixes with examples.
File names must be descriptive. For example, File:19700101T000000Z.png is not a descriptive image name, but File:Agent Billy Kid Game.png is.

This policy is currently a draft, but is available to users in order to help them correctly name files when contributing to the wiki. Some file categories currently do not exist or do not have images to use as an example, so we kept Genshin Impact Wiki's examples in order to provide a general idea of how files will have to be named in the future. Thank you for your understanding.
